What is Arita-Yaki?
Aritayaki Taseigama is a prestigious brand of Aritayaki, one of Japan's leading traditional crafts. Since its establishment in 1956, the company has created new product value by developing products that meet the needs of the times while preserving tradition. We aim to make further progress alongside our history.
Takiyogama's commitment to quality and beauty lies in the fact that the kiln temperature is raised to 1300°C over a period of 16-17 hours and the products are thoroughly baked to ensure strength. This process results in high quality Arita ware that is both durable and practical. The company employs traditional craftsmen, and the skilled artisans are constantly striving to improve quality.
The founder, Kiyomi Tanaka, focused on chawanmushi (steamed egg custard) and developed the company's main range of lidded bowls. To date, more than 100 shapes have been developed, offering products to meet a wide range of needs. In addition, the technology and designs for professional use have been applied to general use and the product range has been expanded. In particular, our designs are characterised by the use of many bright colours, adding glamour and fun to dining tables and interiors.
Our mission is to enrich the hearts and minds of our customers by creating objects that add colour to their living spaces.
