Description

This unmarked tachi sword is said to have been made by the swordsmith Sanea, known as the father of the left hand character. It is estimated to have been made in the Kamakura period (1185-1333) and combines excellent swordsmanship with aesthetic elements. The sword comes with a tachi (sword) arrangement, which is reminiscent of its use in battle and ceremonial rituals of the time. It has been designated as a 'Specially Preserved Sword' and is highly valued for its historical value and artistic significance.
