Senju Nishimura, a dyeing craftsman in Kyoto, has been using frog-eye clay (Gairo-me-nendo, which is a mixture of quartz particles deposited by the weathering of granites). It is called frog-eye clay because these quartz particles look like frog's eyeballs when wetted with water, etc.).
The technique called "toryuzome" is used to create a unique three-dimensional effect by taking advantage of the fact that the quartz particles (called "frog's eyes" because they look like frog's eyeballs when wet) repel dyes.
The "wabi," "sabi," and "shibu-hakki" of this technique match the "iki" that GO-ONE is seeking, and we asked Mr. Nishimura to produce it for us.
There is an episode that a world-famous brand once asked Mr. Nishimura to do this Tohryu dyeing, but the brand abandoned the idea because the fabric and Mr. Nishimura's dyes did not meet the company's in-house regulations.
Silk scarf
A stylish man has a shiny neck.
GO-ONE men's scarf.
It is the most powerful item that adds a stylish accent to casual wear.
Just by adding a silk scarf to a denim + white T-shirt, you will look much more "chic".
The unique texture of the material is created by the Kyoto-based dyeing craftsman Senju Nishimura's unique technique called "toryu-zome".
